CRSP classifies growth securities using a composite growth factor using future long-term growth in earnings per share (22%), future short-term growth in EPS (22%), 3-year historical growth in EPS (16%), 3-year historical growth in sales per share (16%), current investment-to-assets ratio (11%), and return on assets (11%).
