The index is a subset of the Dow Jones U.S. Index, which aims to provide 95% market capitalization coverage of U.S.-traded stocks. It represents the Consumer Goods Industry (3000) as defined by the ICB classification system. An "industry" using the ICB system is roughly equivalent to a "sector" using the GICS system.
