M1WDUDY MSCI ACWI ex-USA High Dividend Yield Index

The Index includes large and mid cap stocks across developed and emerging markets countries and is designed to reflect the performance of equities in the MSCI ACWI ex USA Index (excluding REITs) with higher dividend income and quality characteristics than average dividend yields that are both sustainable and persistent. The Index selects stocks from the parent index using four steps: 1) Stocks with a dividend yield 30% greater than the average of the parent index. 2) Stocks with a negative dividend payout ratio or a positive payout ratio in the top 5% of securities by number within the universe of securities are excluded from the Index. 3) Stocks with a negative 5Y diluted earnings per share growth are also excluded from the Index. 4) Stocks with negative Quality Z-score are excluded from the Index. The Quality Z-scores are calculated using fundamental variables such as Return on Equity, Earnings Variability and Debt to Equity.
