SP900GTR S&P 900 Growth Total Return Index

This is the total return version of SP900G. S&P classifies every stock in the S&P 500 Index and the S&P Midcap 400 Index into one of three buckets: growth (33%), value (33%), and blend (34%). S&P calculates a value score for every stock using three factors: book value to price ratio, earnings to price ratio, and sales to price ratio. S&P calculates a growth score for every stock using three-year change in EPS over price per share, three-year sales per share growth, and 12 month price momentum. Every stock is then grouped into the three buckets (growth, value, blend) based on the combination of the growth and value scores. The blend bucket includes those stocks that do not have strong growth or value characteristics. The S&P 900 Growth Index includes all stocks in the growth and blend buckets, or about 565 stocks. The selected stocks are weighted using market capitalization. The S&P U.S. Style Indices are rebalanced once a year in December.
