SPXPV S&P 500 Pure Value Index

S&P classifies every stock in the S&P 500 Index into one of three buckets: growth (33%), value (33%), and blend (34%). S&P determines value using three factors: book value to price ratio, earnings to price ratio, and sales to price ratio. The S&P 500 Pure Value Index includes the top scoring stocks from those stocks in the value bucket, or around 120 stocks. The selected stocks are weighted proportion to their relative value score.
