SPXU ProShares UltraPro Short S&P500 ETF

Seeks daily investment results before fees and expenses of 300% inverse, or opposite, of the price performance of the S&P 500 Index. SPXU will achieve its inverse leverage factor of 3.00 using swaps and other derivatives. Because the swaps and derivatives allow the fund to achieve its required leverage without using all of its cash, the fund will also typically have large amounts of excess cash invested in short-term investments. The Index is a capitalization-weighted index made up of 500 widely held large-cap U.S. stocks spread out among eleven sectors of the economy using the GCIS sector classification system. It is not the largest 500 companies in the U.S., but rather 500 companies picked by a committee at S&P. These experts consider various factors when determining the 500 stocks that are included in the index, including market size, liquidity and industry grouping.
