USO United States Oil ETF

This is an exchange traded fund that buys and sells futures contracts on WTI oil on a set pattern. The investment objective is for the changes in percentage terms of its units net asset value (NAV) to reflect the changes in percentage terms of the spot price of light sweet crude oil delivered to Cushing Oklahoma as measured by the changes in the price of the futures contract for light sweet crude oil traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange (the NYMEX), less fund expenses. The fund historically has held "front-month" futures - those futures with the nearest delivery dates.

Because of turmoil in the oil markets, this fund has changed its investment policy to hold a variety of futures, besides just front month futures.
