Seeks to track, before fees and expenses, the CRSP U.S. Large Cap Growth Index. Stocks in the CRSP U.S. Large Cap Index (about 610 stocks) are scored and ranked for both Value and Growth factors. CRSP generally categorizes each stock as either a value or a growth stock, but some stocks may be split between the two style assignments. CRSP classifies growth securities using a composite growth factor using future long-term growth in earnings per share (22%), future short-term growth in EPS (22%), 3-year historical growth in EPS (16%), 3-year historical growth in sales per share (16%), current investment-to-assets ratio (11%), and return on assets (11%).
Tracked the S&P 500 Growth Index through May 16, 2003; MSCI US Prime Market Growth Index through April 16, 2013; CRSP US Large Cap Growth Index thereafter.
